Automatic Formula Calculation Issue

Hi

Im typing formulae into a large Excel file but they dont seem to be calculating automaticaly and im left with the actual formula i've typed in displayed. For example instead of =f5&g5&j5 concatenating the required cells all i'm left with is the formula i've typed in displayed exactly as above.
Please could seomeone help its driveing me nuts

Check the formatting of the cell your formula is in, I think it's set to display the output as text so is showing the formula rather than the resultant value..
