Greetings.
I enjoy tinkering with Excel conditional formatting and VBA but it is just tinkering.

I have a garage/machine shop site-map, created in Visio, that I want to 'automate'. I'm looking for suggestions on a direction, possibly using Excel but I'm not sure it will work.

First idea was to add VBA buttons to Visio, but it seemed like a ton of code.
One idea, that might save some coding, is to fill a shape on an Excel sheet with an image/picture (the Visio site map) and set shapes(buttons) on top of each area and piece of equipment.
Next idea is an Excel custom map, with shapes as buttons on top of site-map areas and equipment.

I want the buttons to open drop-down menus, able to: fill Windows Forms, view manuals and docs(.pdf. docx. jpg, etc), input/record data into forms/spreadsheets, etc.

Is this 'doable'? Is there a plug-in available to make doing this easier?

Thanks.

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
