Autosum Macro on Doubleclick?

Hi there,

Instead of using Alt,= to enter an autosum formula, I would like to doubleclick on any cell in a given worksheet and have it enter the autosum formula allowing me to then select my cells to sum. I'm assuming there's a macro involved?

Thanks!

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Try this entered in the ThisWorkbook sheet for your workbook:
Code:
Private Sub Workbook_SheetBeforeDoubleClick(ByVal Sh As Object, ByVal Target As Range, Cancel As Boolean)
Dim myRng As Range, rStr As String
Set myRng = Application.InputBox("Select a range to sum", Type:=8)
rStr = myRng.Address
Target.Formula = "=SUM(" & rStr & ")"
End Sub
