Hello everyone,

I've been trying to figure out a creative solution to taking an average of times, some of which roll over to the following day (>24hrs). Simple average won't work. I have a large number of data (times values) in a column format.

Example: I have two times, 11.59pm and
1am (following day). I want the average to be 12:30am.

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Seems you don't want the actual value (12:29:30) you want to round up to the nearest half hour. I'm not seeing why Average wouldn't work since the average of those 2 times is 12:29:30 so maybe you need something like this, along with average?

Perhaps change 288 to 48 in that example (number of half-hour periods in a day) and follow the approach?

Oddly enough, i just tried my own example again, and seems to be working with simple average. I must have confused myself with some conversions. Appreciate the response!
