Having issues with the below formula

=AVERAGEIFS($CY$6:$CY$7808,$W$6:$W$7808,"x",$W$6:$W$7808,"+")

I'm trying to get an average for anything in column W with a "x" or "+"

any thoughts on this?

That's correct, the blanks are blank returned by a formula...this is definitely the reason why the numbers are different. Thanks!

No, you were right, I meant "text" :cool:

That formula looks OK - If you get #N/A then you might have #N/A in one of the ranges......or you mistyped the ranges and they aren't the same size

You were right!! There was a #N/A in the range...
