Hi everybody,

I have been facing an annoying problem for a while and I want to finally fix it!
I got a master spreadsheet from which many other sheets take several values. Of course if the master sheet is close, every other document reports #RIF errors.

I was wondering: there must be a silly option that allows to "save" last loaded values in case the source of each connection is close.

Tell me I am not wrong please ;) or if I can set the link better to work it out

Thanks a lot guys
cheers

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Are you prompted to update links when you open the other documents? If so, choose not to update. It may also be possible, depending on the formulas, to change the formulas so that they work with closed workbooks.

Hi Rory,

thanks for anwering. All formulas are basically index/match-based.
I tried both ways: updating and not updating formulas as I open the sheets, but it does not change...
