Hi

I have created a database whereby staff allocate their times to the departments they have been working in throughout the week. What i now really want to know is wheather or not when the database is opened by a particular member of staff can it pick up the user name used to log on to the computer? so as to instantly realise who has opened the database.

I like this API method:

Environ's work well, until you go onto a machine that doesn't use that particular one (depends on operating system). Some are available on Win9x, but most of the rest showed up under Win2K+ (NT4.0 & XP)
