background letters

I was wondering how to put letters and numbers in the background of an excel spreadsheet?

Ex. in big letters "Page 1" but stll be able to format around it and write over it.

Search the site for 'watermark' - post back if you can't get oneof the various options to work as you want it.

Please select, On Main menu > Format > Sheet > Background.
But you need to use image file.
