Hi. I would like to know if it's possible to have a barcode (GTIN12) in excel. I can calculate the check digit. Here's the scenario.:

if A1= 55651234745, I can put in B1: 00556512347459. Then I would like the barcode appears in C1. Please help on how to convert B1 into a barcode in C1. In Addition, is there also a way to convert text into a barcode? let's say I put "Annie" in A2, C2 should have a barcode for Annie. Thank you very much.

Thank you for the link. I downloaded and followed instructions. Now, I am going back to my previous questions on how to applied it into excel(please refer to previous question).

Just type in that font then.
ANNIE with that barcode font set then it should appear as barcode.
Or you could even use a macro which changes the font to the barcodey font one...

There can be many reasons for example size, background colour and of course the correct font (Type 39 is but one). I would send you some of the members stuff from GS1 but I am not sure where we stand with copywrite but have a look at www.gs1uk.org as there are various bits about the basics.

If you need to create GTIN or GS1, then you must use a Code 128 Barcode font; not Code 39.

Also, when you use a barcode font, you must make sure that your data is properly formatted or else the barcode will not scan.

I would take a look at this video:

Code 128 to create GTIN / GS1 Barcodes:

When I create Barcodes in Excel, I use (it's free):
