Beginner needs help with formula, please!

I'm creating a new spreadsheet for my boss and have very little excel experience. What I need to do is take a sum and have it divided by 2. One some gets added to one store's amount and the other gets added to another stores amount. The problem is when I divide an odd amount by 2, it doesn't divide correctly. I tried the ROUNDUP AND ROUNDDOWN formula and that doesn't seem to work. Is there another formula I could use??
