Hi all

My sheet has a row of 36 cells (3 years of months)

Each month has a value generated below it from a table and vlookup

I need the user to copy the data from here and paste to another sheet but simple copy and paste defaults to copying the formula

Any ideas on the best way I can copy the values only?

I do try and avoid VB as I am far from an expert but if thats the route then so be it

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Without using VBA scripts, you can just select your cell that you want the values in and link it to the cell on the other sheet.

So in your destination cell you type the = key and then select the cell that contains the value that has been updated and press enter.

This will work if the source and destination cells are always the same cells.

Hi

That wont work for me as the value in the source cell will change

What would be the VBA Script?

Basically the user in puts 3 values in a sheet and a list of 36 are returned

these 36 values needs to be copied and pasted into another sheet but default is to copy the formula I just want values

One way you might be able to force it is if the sheet is protected and the cells formatted to 'hidden', when you copy/paste, it only transfers values and number formats by default.
