I would like to know the best way to protect it. I have Excel 2007, I know the protect tab under Review, etc. But I have a few questions.

I need that a few cells be editable, so users can put numbers and names in them, the actual formulas themselves, and everything else, I need to be locked and hidden, so no one can access.

What would be the best way to accomplish this? Thank you.

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Highlight the cells you wish to have editable. Then right-click and select format. Go to the last tab (Protection). Uncheck the "Locked" checkbox. Then your protection will leave these cells editable.

By default all cells on a sheet are Locked, but not Hidden, so select the cells that you want editable, then goto Format-->Cells (Ctrl+1) and uncheck Locked on the Protection tab. For hidden formulas you'll need to select those cells and do the same thing, but this time make sure that both Hidden and Locked are checked.

Now when you protect the sheet all of those cells will be locked and formulas hidden, while you'll be able to edit the others.
