I have noticed that if a name list contains blank cells, then if a user just types text into the the cell containing a validation list link, then no error will be display if the text typed does not match a value in the list.
In example:
A1 to A5 is a named range "names" containing:
Cell B1 is a validation list whose range is "=names" and where Error Alert is enabled with the style of Stop.
Typing "Bill" into B1 will not result in a validation error. However, if the named range of "names" is defined as A1:A3 (instead of A1:A5) then it does work.
Is there anyway to make the error checking work, with the blank cells in the named range?
