Hi all,
i have the following formula in a cell:
=IF(W2="","",IF(W2="vacant","",VLOOKUP(A2,Emp_in_Pos,8,0)))

if a date is present in "Emp_in_Pos" if puts it in the cell.

My issue is that I want to use this data in a pivot table, but the cells are not recognised as dates as I cant filter it.

Any ideas on how to make it work??
thanks, Sam

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
