Blank invasive grey boxes on left side of sheet

So after I initiate a function that basically copies one sheet to another as part of a "save" function, a grey line of boxes appears on the left side of the spreadsheet that block the contents beneath it. So far the only way i have been able to amend it is by removing a toolbar from the locked position of the top of the page (this seems to refresh the sheet for some reason). I was wondering how to prevent this from happening.

Thanks.

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
When trying to execute:

Code:
    Application.CommandBars("Task Pane").Visible = True
    Application.CommandBars("Task Pane").Position = msoBarLeft
    Application.CommandBars("Task Pane").Visible = False

The program errors with:

"Method 'Visible' of object 'Commandbar' failed.
