Break links to an addin

My addin is stored on various computers and the workbook will make links to this addin. The addin is stored in the default location for addins and the name is SWXY.xlam. I have found a way to make the link, but I don't know how to break it without deleting the cell formula and saving the workbook. I do not want to automatically save the workbook at this stage.
