hi, I have mutiple workbooks i.e book1, book2, book3 etc. and a master workbook. I want to have a button in the master workbook that copies the cells in row 4 columns A-AW from each of the other workbooks and puts them in the next available line in the master.

Thanks

Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Hi clarke24,

I did a similar example WB for another user called "UpdateMaster", a while back which could be adapted.

You can download it from :

http://www.box.net/shared/ifp05tud53

If you are into VBA you should be able to work it out. This version loads selected workbooks based on a date selected in a calendar.

Ctr+q activates the calendar, the data selected activates the code to open a WB from the selected date based folder. It then copies data from the loaded WB into the Master then closes the data WB.

If you don't have the ActiveX calendar, some versions of XL don't I'm told, you would have to modify the code to overcome it.
