Can the expert give me the formula in cell A16 for the following:
Cell A15 containes a date e.g. 1 jan 2014 (always 1st of month) ; cell D15 contains the number 2 (number of months; can be anything from 1 to 11)
I want in cell A16 the formula that returns a date (also 1st day of month) 1 mar 2014 ( A15 + 2 months).
Thanks,
Paul

Excel Facts

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
=date(year(a15),month(a15)+d15,day(a15))

Or, if you always want to return the first of the month...
=EDATE(A15,D15)

See if this formula does what you want...

=DATE(YEAR(A15),MONTH(A15)+D15,1)
