Calculate current monday

I can get current date by using =TEXT(WEEKDAY(TODAY()), "ddd"). I just have no clue how to get current month. I thought it was simple as changing ddd to mmm but i was wrong. Everything I read isn't really giving me the solution I need. I want to be able to have it return Mar or something

Current Day: =TEXT(TODAY(), "ddd")
Current Mth: =TEXT(TODAY(), "mmm")
