Calculate How Many People Are Working At The Same Time- INCLUDING OVERNIGHT SHIFTS

Hi there, I need help calculating how many employees are working per hour. I have duplicated the solution found on this website: Formula Friday - Calculate How Many People Are Working At The Same Time using the COUNTIFS Function In Excel using COUNTIFS but cannot figure out how to ensure the calculation works for overnight shifts.

Using Excel 2016.

=COUNTIFS(Sheet1!E$2:E$40,">"&IF($A2<=5/24,$A2+15/24,$A2-9/24),Sheet1!E$2:E$40,"<="&IF($A2<=5/24,$A2+1,$A2))
