Calculate the number of people working w/in a range of hours

Here goes- I have to write a weekly schedule. What I would like to do is see the number of people that are working within a range of hours.
The example would be: from 8-12 = 3, 12-4 = 5, 5-9 = 3.

Can this be accomplished.
