Hello,

In my Pivot Table I have Quarterly Period in columns (Q1 2010, Q2 2010, Q3 2010, Q4 2010, Q1 2011, Q2 2011, Q3 2011, Q4 2011). In the data section I have revenue.

What I need is to add a calculated column that would calculate all revenue values in Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4 for 2010 and then separately for 2011.

I can't do this for some reason. First, I can't even ADD a calculating field column (all calculating fields are in the data field).

Second, I need to somehow put in the formula "please add Q1 2010, Q2 2010, Q3 2010, Q4 2010".

Can someone pleaaaasse help?? Pivot tables are the most frustrating thing in Excel and I really need some help. I'm using Excel 2003.

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
it isn't known how the data is set up - hence not easy to answer the question

if you have all the dates in one field, it should be as simple as grouping on that field multiple times - once for years and a second time for months

if the data isn't set up like that, suggest you consider making it like that :-)
