I apologize if I am posting in the wrong place however I searched and was unsuccesful in locating a similar posting already.

My example is failry simple.

D11 - 12:00 pm / E11 - 5:30 pm / F11 (Lunch) = H11

I have the in and out time calculating however for some reason I can not get it to take out the munch. Everyday lunch is a different amount so it has to subtract that cell. I am not sure if it is the format of the cell or the formula I am attempting to enter but it is not working.

Please help.

If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Hello huffman01, welcome to MrExcel,

Assuming you have lunch cell in time format, e.g. 1:00 for 1 hour, 0:30 for 30 minutes etc. then you can just subtract, i.e this formula in H11

=E11-D11-F11
