can a pivot table do this

quick one hopefully.
have a sheet with data such as
145107 Colgrave Brendan 294.24 125.4
145107 Colgrave Brendan 294.24 125.4


also obviously contains lots more names, and possibly a third amount column.
obviously sub totals can be used to give the amount for each person in each column. But is there a way to use a pivot table to do the same?

sorry i know it can extract the data, but I want it in a single row, im getting a separate row for each amount column at the moment

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
But is there a way to use a pivot table to do the same?

Yes, i think you just need to drag the the data label to the VALUES box from Pivot tool.
