Can I use formulas for Print_Titles?

For the named reference, Print_Titles, is it possible to enter formulas similar to the way one can enter formulas for Conditional Formatting?

I think I already know the answer is no since Print_Titles requires continuous rows or columns, so my next question is how a script might be put together to print sectional headers at irregular intervals at the top of each page.

I can make a formula that returns true for each row that I would like to appear at the top of the page. Any thoughts are appreciated.
