I'm trying to figure out the best formula to use in this situation.
LTV % 30 yr yearly prem
95.01 0.0096 $1,689.60
90.01 0.0078 $1,372.80
85.01 0.0052 $915.20
80.01 0.0032 $563.20
This is the table that I'm trying to use. I have a formula that will calculate the loan to value on a mortgage. If it's greater than 80%, I want it to reference this table (actual LTV >= LTV in table) and then plug in the appropriate yearly premium for the LTV calculated (this is for calculating yearly PMI premium). If the LTV is less than the % listed in the column, I want to return a value of 0.
I've tried the IF (always came back FALSE) and got a #NA when I used VLOOKUP. You're talking to a novice and I know just enough to get frusterated when I can't get the results I'm looking for.
I've been lurking for the last few days and can't seem to find the help I needed, so now, I'm asking.
Thanks,
Victoria
