Can you make an answer be the formula from another cell?

I am trying to make one cell show the formula from another cell, rather than the 'answer'. Example:
A1 --> =B1
B1 --> is a hyperlink

What I need is for A1 to give me the same hyperlink, rather than the text that is shown.
I don't know if this is even possible.
Thanks for your help.

Assuming the text displayed in B1 is the linked URL, you could use the Hyperlink function in A1:

=HYPERLINK(B1,"show this text")

What if I change the 'text to display'. When I try to change this it does not work. Is there something different that I need to do?

No, it still gives me a an error message that says ' The address of this site is not valid. Check the address and try again.'
