i cannot open an excel file. I was using it about 5 minutes ago. Don't think i deleted it. What else could have happened?

It continously comes up with
File Path- "January 2011.xlsx cannot be found. Check your spelling, or try a differant path."

Its a shared drive and i cannot find it in my recycle bin or on a search on the entire drive. Nothing.

Also the "Ignore other aplications" box is already unchecked. Some people have suggested this.

Please help!? :confused::banghead:

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
You can try your recent files list in Excel or the start menu. Or run a search for the file name with search companion or windows desktop search or the search utility of your choice (one wonders why there aren't more of these).

It could be that your network is temporarily hosed.

Yeah, i have already tried both of those.

I thought that the server may be down but i can open other files in the same folder, where the file should be.

Im racking my brains here.
