Hi,

Just wondering if you can help me.

I have a problem with a user who is unable to open a specific file in Excel. When he tries to open the file he gets a password prompt but he goes into the file as Read Only.

Once he has done this though the file does not open at all. All he can see is "Automatic update of links has been disabled".

We have tried enabling this but there is no change. The file still does not open.

The file can be opened by other users using the same computer.

Do you guys have any ideas that could help me?

Thanks for your help,

Paul

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Sounds like his user account might haver a permissions issue with the files he's trying to link to.

He already has access to the containing folder via his AD group permissions.

Do you have any other ideas?
