Cannot unprotect a worksheet

I have a worksheet which requires a password to open. I don't want this and have gone through the usual procedure for unprotecting it. Although the buttons under Review tell me that it is unprotected (both show Protect Worksheet and Protect Workbook rather than Unprotect), it still requires a password to open. Help!

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
This is most likely because the code for the password request is in a macro in the ThisWorkBook module and is triggered by the "Workbook_Open" or "Auto_Open" event.

Did you notice this in your post?

I have fixed it for you. FYI, it is caused by the shortcut for that 'smilie' being o_o
For the future, you can fix that by enclosing those characters, or the whole Auto_Open text (or more) with [plain][/plain] tags

Thanks @Peter_SSs(y), in truth I just clicked 'Post reply' and closed the window  and probably I would've noticed it this morning (for me) since every now and then I check my posts but it would've been too late to edit .

Those options are unrelated to the password for opening a workbook. With the workbook open, select File - Info, click the Protect Workbook dropdown and select the Encrypt workbook option, then clear the contents of the password box in the dialog that appears and save the workbook.
