Cannot update a reference

Every time I open a file I get an Excel message saying "This book contains one or more links that cannot be updated..." How do I find where those links are to either ger rif of them or correct the situation. Thank you very much

EDIT: the above seems to apply to Excel 97, so not very recent anymore I think
