Cannot work again on pivot table after saving

Hi everyone!

Version: Excel 2003.

I have been working on my pivot tables all day long yesterday, until I found out that everytime I saved and closed my excel file -which I did a lot because I needed to import some data from another program- it would "freeze" it, so that I am not able to work on it again  . I get the pivot table done, it's all good, I can still change columns, data, etc... but once its is saved and closed, when I reopen it, it seems that it literally killed the pivot table: nothing can't be changed, I can't update data and the pivot toolbar doesn't appear anymore.

I have been searching forums for this kind of problem but could not find a solution.

I would truly apperciate if you could help me.

Thanks in advance,

Amance

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
Another precision

I just found out that the pivot table freezes everytime I import some data in my excel file. Even though the new data I'm importing does not affect the raw data I'm using for my pivot table, it would eventually freeze and I won't be able to work on it again.

Is there a way I can fix this?

Thanks,

Amantché
