Hi, can anyone show how to add many columns to the rightmost part of the worksheet
carrying on from Col AA please?

I keep getting error 'Cannot shift objects off sheet.' and followed instructions to change a setting to All
or use control-6 but this made no difference.

Been about 2 hours trying without success

Thanks, ABB

Excel Facts

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
It sounds like you have comments or other shapes that would be moved off the sheet if you inserted the columns you want.

Hi Rory,

I got the same suggestion from Googling, but there isn't anything like that. However a clue may be it's the end of the sheet.

You know the row A B C D - AA AB etc. (column headers?) ? This stops at AA. Whereas, inserting a new sheet doesn't.

Then you have hidden columns (if you can see grey area to the right of AA).

Ok Rory, how do I unhide them ? Normally I would select each either side and right click- Unhide.

But you can't get to the other side of Nothing.

Clicking View shows Unhide as greyed out... which seems odd as I do have cols N-R hidden.

This is what I see...

Click the heading of column AA and drag to the right with your mouse (you should see a popup with eg 16358C). Then right click and choose Unhide.

Or click the grey box on the top left corner, where the row and column headings meet, to select the entire sheet then right click a column header and unhide.

ROFL, I sure showed this.... was attempting Andrews suggestion and had tried several times with no response or popup, then suddenly an
hour glass appeared and a moment or so later I've got columns right up to XFD !!

Rory I'm sure your way works too but I'm quitting while I'm ahead !

Many thanks to you both,
Regards, ABB
