Cant name new worksheet with variable

I am running the following to import a fixed length text file and I want the new worksheet to be named the same as name the user supplies for the file name. However, the new sheet is just called Sheet1. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Activesheet.name = GetName
straight after:

ActiveWorkbook.Worksheets.Add

but you may also have to check for illegal characters in a sheet's name - see

You could substitute the illegal characters for legal ones, such as a "_" before trying to rename the sheet.
