Can't Select a Range With Variable index

Should be pretty simple, I have a row counter call i which is an integer.

I want to select:

Rows(i:30) so I can hide them. (say i is 12 for example)

How do I write this so I don't get an error...

I tried that and it didn't work until I seperated the i and the ampersand with a space.

Word to the wise (i&":30") doesn't work but (i & ":30") does work....that's bizzare to me.

It is annoying because it is inconsistent. If you type

Range("A"&i)

the VBA editor will insert the spaces for you.
