Can't Unhide a hidden column??

I can't seem to unhide a hidden column. I have done it many times in the past, but it doen't seem to work now.

Anyone know what makes this happen & how to solve it?

EDIT: I forgot to say I am using Excel 2003.

Hi there,

Select the entire column to the left and to the right (click the column header to the left, drag to the right). Right click any of the selected column headers and select Unhide.

Thanks for the response.

Actually I have don't this many times before, and just like you described. My problem is that it isn' working. After you click Unhide nothing happens. It stays hidden.

I even wrote a VB code to select A1. It selects it, but it stays hidden. Column A is the hidden one.

Do you have Freeze Panes on? If you scroll to the right so that column A is out of sight, then Freeze Panes, you won't see it even if it's not hidden. It's simply out of the scroll area.

Another thing to consider....is the column width set at 0.01.
In which case the column is not hidden but too small to see !

Thanks everyone. The freeze pages thing did the trick. I hadn't realized I had frozen that column.
