capturing seconds

If A1 contains 1:31:15 what technique can be used to capture just the seconds without the hours and minutes?

Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)

How 'bout

=TEXT(A1,"ss")

In addition, you should also be able to format cell A1 to just display the seconds part by entering a Custom format of "ss".
