Hi,

I need to capture the date that a user saves the .xlsm file for the first time. I'll use this date in my application as the start date of of their project. Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Thanx,

Ed.

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Hi IglooBass

Try this:
Code:
Option Explicit
Private Sub Workbook_BeforeSave(ByVal SaveAsUI As Boolean, Cancel As Boolean)
If Range("A1") = "" Then Range("A1") = Now 'It will capure the date one time only
End Sub

1. Copy this code
2. Hold the Alt key, and press the F11 key, to open the Visual Basic Editor
3. In the Project Explorer, find your workbook
4. Right-click on the ThisWorkbook object, and choose View Code
5. Paste
