You can activate a cell by:

Range("A1").Activate or Select

But can you activate it to let one type directly into the active cell (cursor already inside cell)?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
You can select the cell and then use SendKeys to send "{F2}"

With what you posted, once the cell is Activated or Selected it is ready for input. You will not see a cursor in the cell.

Try this in a standard Module on a blank sheet with the active cell somewhere other than A1 and you will see what I mean.

Code:
Sub test()
Range("A1").Activate
End Sub

Maybe it's unclear as to what you want to actually do. Maybe a little more explanation is required.
