Cell Calculating Formula

I use windows 7 excel 2007

In column/cell " T31" I have inputed this formula

=IF(Q31="","",S31-N31)

If N31 = zero the formula returns the S31 value. I would like T31 to refelct zero when N31 is zero regardless of any value that maybe in S31.

How can I change this formula?

I have tried from two fellow memembers,

=IF(Q31="","",IF(N(N31),S31-N31,0))

and
=IF(OR(Q31="",N31=0),"",S31-N31)

Both did not work, I lost a response from another fellow Jon von der Heyden that worked but the spreadsheet was deleted and thank god I had a back up, however I still need to retrieve this formula. I do know that Jon von der Heyden had the "LEN" in his response.

Thank you for the help

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
You response put a zero value in cell T31.

Whats needs to happen is that there will be some kind of value in cell N31, lets say for now 2.00% and 1.87% in cell S31 then cell T31 needs to calculate that difference not until S31 recieves that value, however if there is a value in cell N31 but a zero value in S31 then T31 needs to read 0.00%.

Your response just enters a zero value regardless of any value in S31

I hope I explained it well enough, I do know that part of the of the formula had (LEN in it?

thanks for looking at this.

This will put S31 in if N31 is blank but I dont understand what you are trying to do when you put (S31-N31)

Let me try this.

Cell N31 will always have a percentage vaule.
Cell S31 will be blank until some point a macro will put a percentage value in that cell.

I want cell T31 to calculate the difference between S31 and N31 (S31-N31), if cell S31 receive a zero value per the macro then cell T31 needs to read zero.
