Say in Book 1, in A1 I typed in "$5.00".

Now, say I wanted that same exact number to be reproduced in all books that read from that one cell that says "$5.00".

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

THANKS!!!

I spoke too soon

When I enter in that formula, it asks me EACH time where the document is.

What I have is a book called "TEST-07.xls" on my D: drive.

What should I do?

You can Goto Edit-->Links Update or Change source. Sometimes Excel needs to be reminded where your link source is.
