Hi folks...

I have a number of cells which contain references to another cell:

ie. ='Other Sheet'!A1

Is there anyway i can cycle through my cells and tell which cells only contain a formula, and which contain the data referenced from the other sheet?

Cheers,

Dan

If you want to know if they're blank (i.e. not returned any data from the referenced cell) then try for say b1 - =if(a1="","blank",a1)

Thanks for your suggestion... Its not ideal, but may have to do...

I should have said that I'm cycling through in VBA... and ultimately i want to delete rows which have not picked up referenced data...

Dave Hawley might already have a solution for you - see the extract from workbook example on his VBA page:
