I have data on sheet1 that is updated. Cells on sheet2 are linked to these cells on sheet1.

When cells on sheet1 are cleared and data updated the links on sheet2 cells are lost.

How can I make the links permenent or link the cells on sheet2 to sheet1 cells.

Also how can I make linked cells show nothing if there is no data in the cell on sheet1 they are linked to.

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
When you say:
When cells on sheet1 are cleared and data updated ...
What operation clears the cells and updates the data?

It seems that either column A or row 1 in Sheet1 is deleted.

GlennUK A macro runs and updates the sheet1 data. So the macro clears the cells first then enters the new data.
