cells don't work

hi

i have a similar problem to an existing thread last week, except that the problem i have is when i use "= and the cell reference" all i get it the answer "0"

any ideas on the problem, i also have REF and VALUE that appear sometimes as well.





the first image is the problem and the second is what should be in the cell, although the information in the cell is from a drop down box,

i forgot that i was trying to reference more than one cell, thanks, also why does vlookup always end up wrong, giving me a different price to what should be there,
