I know that 07 conditional formating only allows 3(+1) conditions and from what i understand, VBA is the only way around this. However knowing that, i can't seem to find a good post on where to try and write the code to do the formating. I'm mildly familiar with excel vba so i'm willing to give it a shot, i just don't know which direction to aim.

On a side note...why is it when you set the default value for conditional formating to transparent it automatically ignores all of the conditions background settings? One would think that if one of the conditions are met the background format would go from default to the background set for the condition.
