Change an output cell value with changed active cell

I would like to be able to change the value of an output cell whenever I select a different active cell.

For example, if I select cell A1, then cell B1 should read "Dog", but if cell A2 becomes active, then B1 should change to "Cat".

Can anyone please help with how to do this.
