Using vba look into a range a1:a20 and if the value is "X" change it to "E", I dont want a formula in the page, just the value.
thanks.

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Do you really need vba? Could you just select A1:A20 and use Find/Replace?

You could use the built in replace function but maybe

Code:
Sub test()
Range("A1:A20").Replace what:="X", replacement:="E", lookat:=xlWhole
End Sub

Yes I do, the reson is I dont want any formulas in the cells.
Just to clarify .. Find/Replace does not put any formulas in cells - as evidenced by the fact that VoG's macro (which uses Find/Replace) does not put any formulas in cells. I was simply suggesting that you can fairly quickly do manually what the macro does.

In any case, you clearly wanted the macro so all is well. :)
