Thank you for yesterday’s help especially for Dan, I used your formula in the validation.
Now, one more question.
I have the amount per hour on (let say) sheet 1, and it comes over to (let say) sheet 2 with the formula sheet1!b$2. Now. How can I make that if I change in sheet 1 the amount it should change it only from now on and not from the beginning? [If possible with out a macro]

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Hi!
I guess you need a log of rates with its date of validation.example from Jan 1 2004 to Feb 1 , 2004 your rate is $25.00/hr. Then on the next line you have
Feb 2, 2004 to Blank( unitl at present) $30.00/hr.
Because the previous values will be lost if you do not save it or unless you got to type it exactly and lost the formula.
We can make a formula select the correct rate base on the
dates where they are valid.
