I use Excel 2011 for Mac and Mac OS X (10.6)

Can someone explain to me how to change the appearance (fill color, lines, etc.) of a Button from the Developer (forms) tab in Excel 2011 for Mac?

All of the books I have consulted and the articles I have read for Excel 2010 for Windows refer to the procedures for doing so using the Colors and Lines option after a right click (on the Button), then Control Format selection but I have yet to find a Colors and Lines option Under Control Format in Excel 2011 for Mac after selecting the Button.

Thanks.

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
just had a look in 2007 and it is not there either

you do get it however if you use a shape rather than a button and use that as your button.

I know thats not a direct answer so much as a work around.

Thanks for looking. Not only am I new to XL 2010/2011 but I'm also new to VB Macros (in my case recorded Macros). I have a worksheet that has about three dozen Buttons (whose appearance I'm not that fond of) with associated recorded macros which are easy to do if you use the Buttons. Do you know if I substitute a shape for the forms buttons if it would be easy to record a macro to associate with them?

once you have the forms button and right click on it it will give you an option to asign a macro
