Hi, Can you change a worksheet tab name based on a cell reference, but also include specific text which will remain constant. Below is the code I have to change the name which will remain variable, but how do you include the constant text as well?

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)

Me.Name = Range("Q1").Text

End Sub

Such as;

"Period Ending" (would remain constant), and reference a date in a specic cell to be included such as "June 30th,2009".

Thanks.

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".

How about:

Rich (BB code):
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)

Me.Name = "Period Ending " & Range("Q1").Text

End Sub

Noting that there's no error handling for invalid or pre-existing sheet names.

Hope that helps,
